Judith Bierie passed away November 21st, 2024. She was born in 1942 in Dover, Ohio, to Harry and Evelyn Plotts Meese. She grew up working in the family business, Meese Funeral Home. She married Lee H. Bierie in 1960, and the business subsequently was named Meese-Bierie Funeral Home. Judy then owned and operated her own beauty shop, Hair Headquarters, which she truly enjoyed.
She loved working with people, and cared deeply about making sure everyone left the shop pleased. Judy was a true creative. She enjoyed crafting, painting, gardening, reading, and acting in plays at the Little Theater. Her heart not only expanded through her family, but also the many four legged friends she took care of through the years. She was also active in community endeavors, including Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Lee, and her grandson Julian Benhumea. She is survived by her sister Peggy Bryan, her daughters Lee Ann (Kirk) and Elizabeth, her son Charles, her granddaughter Margo Benhumea, grandson Noah Nichols, and her great-granddaughter Chloe Nichols.
There will be no services, per Judy's wishes.
