Joyce Lois Belock

Joyce Fanoni Belock 1929-2020 Joyce F Belock, 91, passed away on December 28th in Columbus, Ohio. Our family is appreciative of the physicians, nurses and staff at Glenwood Alzheimer’s Care Center and Capital City Hospice who cared for her. Born in Akron, Ohio, Joyce lived most of her later life in Cincinnati. She graduated from Garfield High School and then received her degree from Huron School of Nursing in Cleveland. Joyce practiced as a Registered Nurse for 35 years. Joyce met her future husband Dave in Cleveland while he attended Case Western Reserve. They were married in 1951 and remained married for 55 years before Dave’s passing in 2006. Joyce and Dave were active members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joyce’s legacy to her children and grandchildren was the incredible love and commitment to family and education. Always active, she loved practicing her religion, cooking, entertaining, walking, playing bridge and extensive traveling. Joyce was preceded in her death by her husband Dave, daughter Amy, her brother Dr. Roy Fanoni, her sisters Rita Heller and Rhoda Bolka. Joyce is also survived by her children David Belock (Sue), Jill Redman (Mark), Luann Belock and Don Belock (Lori). Joyce leaves the following grandchildren David, Andrew, Katy, Allie, Celeste, Marissa and Kristen and 3 great grand-grandchildren. God bless Joyce as she enters the Kingdom of Heaven.
