John Michael Ross

John Michael Ross, age 72, of Columbus, died Monday, January 03, 2022. Born August 25, 1949 to father, John William Ross, and mother, Norah Carletta Ross. He is survived by sons, Michael William (Shelli) Ross, Kenneth Francisco Ross; grandchildren, Joel Michael Donald Ross, Arianna McKenzie Ross, Madison Ross, Kenadie Ross; siblings, Gary, James, Christine (Mark), Braunlin, Elizabeth (Ward) Heinke; four nephews, Dane, Colin, Chase, Danny; niece, Sarah; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a graduate from Franklin University where he received his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Business Administration in 1977, all while working for Battele. He retired from the State of Ohio after 30 years of being a state auditor. John was a veteran of the US Army - Air Force National Guard, where he received many medals of honor. He was a true American Hero. He loved sports, especially the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Cardinals, and Ohio State Buckeyes. He will dearly be missed but always remembered for the funny, honest, and humble human being he was. He would also give to others before himself. John's loving family is planning a memorial service that will be held at a later date in 2022.
