Jimmie Joe Hammond, 60, of Louisa, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly, May 6th, 2021. He was born June 24th, 1960 in Louisa, Kentucky and was the son of Nathan Hammond and Agnes Leola Hammond. Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, Nathan Hammond; son, James Nathan Hammond; brother, Ezra Jay Hammond; sister-in-law, Jackie Hammond; and brother-in-law, Frank Henry Neukirchner. Jimmie is survived by his daughters, Heather Lynn (JR) James, Samantha Joe Hammond, and Lindsey Marie Hammond; grandchildren, Trenton Michael James, Emily Lynn James, Olivia Grace James, Shelby Marie Hammond, and Natalie Nichole Garrett; brothers and sisters Danny Ray (Debbie) Hammond of Chillicothe, Ohio; William Nathan Hammond of Moyock, North Carolina, Garnett Marie Neukirchner of Kettering, Ohio, Pamela Kay Hinton of Frankfort, Ohio, Kathy Mae Hammond of Frankfort, Ohio, Homer Richard Hammond of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jonathan Lee (Hannah) Hammond of Louisa, Kentucky; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Jimmie attended Unioto High School, and worked for Chicago Bridge & Iron. Jimmie will be greatly missed, he was loved by so many. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was so quick with a joke and always made everyone laugh. We love you Jimmie. If I only had five minutes, the day you passed away, I would have had time to tell you, all the important things to say. I didn’t have time to remind you, exactly how much you mean to me, Or that you were the best, that anyone could be. The last time I talked to you, I wish I would have known I would have stayed home with you, or kept you on the phone. If only had five minutes the day you passed away, I would have held onto you with real tight hugs And wouldn’t let you go. I would have told you I’ll miss you, more than you’ll ever know. Now God has called you home, it’s time to get your wings, To leave this life behind you and enjoy all heaven’s beautiful things. So wait for me in heaven, don’t let me come alone, The day the Angels come for me, Please be there to bring me home.
