James (“Jim”) Lloyd Hess, 58, died August 29, 2022 surrounded by his family at home. James was born on February 4, 1964 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

James is survived by his wife, Carrie Hess; daughter, Mackenzie (Brian) Haynes and their children, Ryker, Aiden, and Clayton; daughter, Madison Hess and her daughter Josephine; son, Chase (Chelsie) Hess and their children, Haven and Jhett; and son, Lane Hess.

His passion for coaching showed, as he was the assistant Head Coach at OSU Newark - Titan Football; Northridge High School Girls Softball Coach; Northridge High School Boys Baseball Coach; Northridge High School Football Defense Coach; and a Northridge Youth Athletic Association coach for Football, Baseball, and Softball for over 20 years.

Jim did not want a funeral, so we will be having a Celebration of Life at The Zone Bar and Grille (previously known as Hillcrest Golf Course, 8866 Sportsman Club Road, Johnstown, OH 43031.

The Celebration of Life will be held on September 10, 2022 from 6pm-Close. A band will be there for everyones enjoyment, there will be a $5 cover at the door, and $1 draft beers!

Donations will be made to Northridge High Schools’ new Football Stadium in the name of Coach Jim Hess.
