Jeremy J Gore

Jeremy Joseph Gore passed away in his home on January 13, 2025. He was 43 years old. Along with many friends and neighbors, he leaves behind his mother, Cathy Shoemaker and husband Chris Shoemaker; his father, Richard Gore and partner Susan Cook; his siblings, Christopher Coffin and Caity Coffin; his sister-in-law, Amy Coffin; and his nephews and niece, Alfie, Billy, and Mabel Coffin; and loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is dearly missed.

Jeremy was, without doubt, a people person. His big, big heart showed up as an outpouring of love, gifts, and acts of service for just about anyone who crossed his path. Everything that he loved, he wanted to share: large (very large) quantities of delicious food, the latest video game or show, hilarious stories, his current art project or wire sculpture, his home and garden. Intensely creative and with an infectious laugh, Jeremy lived for a good time and wanted everyone to have a good time with him. He had big ideas and big dreams and believed the world was fundamentally a beautiful place.

He cared deeply about his family, extended family, chosen family, and grandparents. He adored being an uncle and made friends wherever he went – on a cruise ship, in a restaurant, at a wedding. Friendly, outgoing, playful, and kind, he enjoyed charming people and was impossible not to love for it. But underneath his jolly exterior, he struggled like many of us with our internal demons, and these eventually claimed his life.

The world lost a unique light in losing Jeremy Gore. We will remember and love him always.
