Jeremy E. Dotson, 44, of Coolville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on August 18, 2021. He was born in Parkersburg WV, December 04, 1976, a son of Donald E. Dotson and Deborah D. Bailey. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Alice Dotson and grandparents, Lois and Larry Flinn. Those left behind to cherish his memory include girlfriend Christen Black; his sister Kayla Nicole Night; sister and brother-in-law Donielle and Jonathan Krempel of Fort Wayne IN; two nieces and two nephews; his cherished dogs Ray Ray and Pearl, and many loved friends and family. At the age of 18 Jeremy joined the US army and proudly served his country for a short time. Jeremy was the owner of Coolville Custom Cycle Company-C4 Daytona, where he ran his own motorcycle repair shop. Jeremy worked alongside one of his best friends, Jim Embrescia at Los Angeles Glassblowing from 2015- 2017. He worked at UTMB Medical Center where he became a valuable asset to the company. Jeremy devoted a large portion of his adult life to pursuing the craft of glass artistry with many of the best glass blowers in the industry. Jeremy studied glass blowing at Pilchuck Glass school; hot glass sculpting at Penland School of Craft; glass at Hocking College; Fine Art and History at Ohio University; and graduated from Federal Hocking High School Class of 1995. Jeremy was a devoted friend and avid artist. He enjoyed gardening, ornithology, and playing the guitar. He loved anything with wheels, music of all genres, and was an avid motorcyclist. He was also a problem solver and was known to be a skilled and intuitive man. Jeremy had a kind, caring, and cool soul. He was a great friend who never knew a stranger. Jeremy will be dearly missed. “He was one of the good ones." A memorial and celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Oct. 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Jackie O's Taproom, 25 Campbell St., Athens, Ohio.
