Janice Mcwade

Janice L. McWade, 85, Marion, died 9:10a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her home.

Born November 2, 1938, in Marion, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (McAdow) Whiteamire.

A 1956 graduate of Tully High School (Martel, OH), she was employed through the years by Household Finance, Fairfield Engineering, Avco Financial Services, and Dr. Stephen Grygier, OD.

On February 26, 1968, she married Arthur “Mac” McWade. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2002.

She is survived by two children, daughter Suzanne (Javier) Barrera of New Albany; son Robert McWade of Columbus; brother Roger (Nancy) Whiteamire of Bucyrus, sister Carol (James) Benson of Maumee; and two grandchildren, Gabrielle Barrera, Chicago, IL, and Erik Barrera, New Albany.

At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Palace Theater or the Marion Area Humane Society.
