Janet E Padrutt

Janet E Padrutt passed away at home on April 1, 2023. Janet was born on February 3, 1945 in Pekin, IL to Paul and June Hamm. She was the oldest of three sisters.

Janet married Paul Padrutt on March 18, 1967 and was married for 42 years prior to Paul’s death in 2009. They had one daughter, Diane Padrutt.

She worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Claridon Elementary School and Liberty Elementary School in River Valley School district. She also owned Stepping in Style, a local dance supply store. She was a charter member of Creator’s Guild.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Diane Padrutt and sister Dorothy West, of Pekin IL.

Calling hours will be held from 3-4 pm at Epworth United Methodist Church of Marion followed

by a celebration of life service at 4 on Wednesday April 12th.

In lieu of flowers, friends could make a donation to the Marion Senior Center in memory of Janet. She greatly appreciated the transportation services provided by the center.
