James "Star" Martin

February 18, 1948 — June 29, 2022

James Olan ”Star” Martin, 74, of Kenton, OH, passed away on June 29, 2022. He was born February 18, 1948, in Mt. Sterling, KY and was the son of the late Olan Martin and Wanda Faye Graham. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Freeda D. Martin. Star was an extremely talented artist. Anyone that ever met him has had their name written backwards. He had a gift of gab. He never met a stranger and loved to be the center of attention. He loved his critter and had a special knack for finding four-leaf clovers. Star will be greatly missed by many people, especially by his best bud, Jaxson. He was survived by his 2 daughters, Terran (Stephen) Bauer and Virginia Coffee (Jamie Burchfield), his son Seth Martin (Tiffay Lightner), his 2 stepsons, Brandon Pinks and Devin Martin, his wife, Wendy Martin, as well as numerous grandchildren, siblings, special friend, Mike, and his 2 dogs. There will be no funeral services, however, there will be a Celebration of Life, July 10, 2022 from 3:00-6:00 pm. Family may arrive at 2:00. This will be held at the Moose Lodge # 428, 801 W. Lima Street, Kenton, OH. Food will be provided. Just bring your memories. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his memory. Mail to Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or visit www.stjude.org. “God does the painting. I just hold the brush.”
