James Edward Pressley

June 7, 1958 — April 24, 2022

James Edward Pressley, affectionately known as Edward, was born on June 7, 1958, in Greenville, AL to the late James and Clara Pressley. Edward graduated from Pensacola High School in 1976. After high school Edward would go on to serve in the US Army where he excelled as a cook for the troops. After serving 10 years in the US ARMY, he would manage multiple restaurants while curating menus that would provide soul warming meals that many would become familiar to everyone. Edward was full of life and thoroughly enjoyed cooking and being the life of the party. He loved listening to blues and driving flashy cars. His presence would light every room he entered. He was always known to dress to the impress with the attitude and walk to match. His smile, laugh, and jokes were sure to leave an impression on everyone he met. Most of all he really loved his family and wore the Pressley name as a badge of honor. On April 24, 2022, Edward made his transition to glory. He leaves to cherish his memory 6 children: Anjenetta (Richard) Hogan of Bonaire, GA, Marcus (Frances) Pressley of Columbus, OH, Jaleesa (Cedrick) Derrickson of Washington, DC, Alexis, Akeelah, and Alanna Pressley of Troy, Alabama Siblings: Darrion (Andrea) Pressley of Indianapolis, IN, Eddie (Eleni) Pressley of Pensacola, FL, Deborah Ann (Davon) Estelle of Crestview, FL, Anjenetta Killette of Dallas Texas, Wayne Pressley of St. Louis, MI 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
