Jacqueline Antoinette Sloat, also known as Jackie, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 53 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born on September 4, 1970, in Farmville, Virginia. Jackie was a very loving person with a good spirit, always there for anyone who needed her. She cherished her family above all else and was known for her unwavering support and presence.
Jackie leaves behind a loving family, including her son Joshua Longworth and his partner Brittaney, her son Scottie Channell, her daughter Savanna Trickett and her partner Alfred, and her stepfather Dale Martin. She also had a longtime friend, Tracie Channell, and Darlene Moore, among many others who will miss her dearly. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Martin, and her father, Dan Whitaker Bates.
Aside from being a devoted mother and friend, Jackie's career was that of the best stay-at-home mom. She dedicated her time and energy to her family, ensuring they were always taken care of and loved. Her hobbies included spending quality time with her family, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
A candlelight ceremony will be held to bid Jackie a final farewell. The details of the service will be handled by her children in Portsmouth. We will assist in ensuring that Jackie's final wishes are carried out with the utmost care and respect.
