Irvin Ross Layton

Irvin Ross Layton III- 65 yrs old, born on July 19,1956 passed away on August 16,2021 after he fought a courageous battle of liver cancer. He was born in Columbus Ohio. The son of the late Irvin Ross Layton Jr. and Leona Layton. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Layton. Siblings: Steve Layton, Billy Layton, Carl Dummitt, his infant sister Cynthia Layton and his beloved cat Creamer. Gene was a nature enthusiast, mechanic by trade, his hobbies was tinkering, tearing things apart and putting them back together. Gene will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by daughter Ericka Shirley, brother James (Teresa) Layton, brother Roger (Theresa) Layton, brother Danny (Larisa) Layton, sister, Carol Layton, brother, Rick (Marsha) Layton, sister, Cathy Layton, sister, Sandy Layton, and lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. There will be a Family gathering at Dummitt Cemetery on September 4,2021 @ 1:00 pm. Dummitt Family Cemetery location: Kehoe Green County, Kentucky. THE BROKEN CHAIN We little knew that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone; For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side.
