Huelee Logan Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as Hue, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on May 18, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, Hue lived a life characterized by love, kindness, and faith.


Hue was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Miner, father, Huelee Logan, and Roger Miner, brothers Anthony, Charles, and Emmitt Logan, sister Barbara Baker, and his son, Jacque Logan. Hue's legacy will be honored and cherished by the loved ones he leaves behind, including his daughters, Melanie and Amasa Logan; his sons, Matthew Logan and Mark Hale; his sisters, Gloria Hunley, Gwen Crawford, Mattie Logan, Stella Logan, and Wilma Hill; his brothers, Richard and Eugene Logan; seven grandchildren, a few great-grandchildren, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind a close-knit community of dear friends whose lives have been touched by his generous spirit.


Hue was a proud alumnus of the University of Akron, where he studied psychology. He used his knowledge in the field of mental health, serving as a case manager and helping countless individuals navigate their journeys toward wellness. Hue was also a Veteran of the Navy, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to serving his country.


A man of many talents and interests, Hue was passionate about sports, writing, and sketching. These activities not only brought him immense personal joy but also created opportunities for him to connect with others and share his enthusiasm. Above all else, Hue was deeply committed to his faith. As a devout Jehovah's Witness, he found great purpose and fulfillment in learning and teaching the Bible, sharing his faith with others and being a pillar of support within his spiritual community.


Those who knew Hue will remember him as a man of steadfast love and unwavering kindness. His faith was a guiding light in his life, providing him with resilience, hope, and a deep sense of purpose. Amid adversity, Hue remained faithful, drawing strength from his belief and demonstrating a level of grace and courage that inspired all who knew him.

In remembering Hue, we commemorate a life filled with service to others, devotion to family, and a deep commitment to his faith. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts and memories of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. May we find comfort in the memory of his love and the richness of the life he lived.
