Howard Jacobs

October 1, 1956 — May 26, 2022

Howard Jacobs, age 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away, surrounded by those he loved, on May 26, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and was the son of Daniel and Esther (Thacker) Jacobs. His parents and his siblings Warren (Joyce), Octavia, Sue and Margie, preceded him in death. He loved them dearly, and missed them every day. He was a proud United States Marine. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads, rocks, coins, and listening to music. His favorite hobbies included making personalized jewelry and gifts for his family and friends, and turning junk into his own personal treasure. In his free time, he made his rounds on the “barking tractor” with his dog, Duke. All who loved him will miss his sense of humor, sarcasm and selflessness. He was a great storyteller, history buff, and could always be counted on for an encouraging word or laugh. He is survived by his long-time partner and friend, Francine Jacobs; His children- Brandy (Ryan) Stenson, David (Candice) Jacobs, Christine (John) Jacobs, Barbie (Ryan) Jacobs and Jessica (Jimmy) Jacobs; His grandchildren- Rachel (Anthony), Jaylen, Haley (Chris), Cameron, Shawn, Aeries, Collin, Xavier; His great-grandchildren- Liv, Nico, Leo, Theo, and one on the way that he was so excited for; His siblings- Betty, Keith, Mitch, Tammy, Charlia and Danny, and numerous extended relatives and friends, whom he adored. A Celebration of Life is being planned in his memory, and will be announced at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses at Mt. Carmel ICU- Asher, Ariana, Jude, Molly, Shristi, Andre and Allie for their care and attention in his final days. In lieu of flowers, family asks that you hug your loved ones a little longer and closer today. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are gray.
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.” “I love you more.” -Dad
