Holly Marie Bakke, age 48, earned her angel wings on June 18, 2021. She was born on November 15, 1972 in Crosby ND to Alton and Karen Bakke. She is survived by her mother Karen, brother Al (son Hunter), sister Misty (husband John and daughter Abigail) sister Kelli (husband Bob, sons Aage, Trevor, Colton, Caleb), brother Brent (son Kurtis, daughter Celina) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was reunited with some very special people, including her father Alton, grandparents Ray and Rose, and John and Agnes. Holly graduated from Divide County High School in 1991 (under the alias H. Bakke after the spelling Holeigh was no longer accepted!) Throughout her life, Holly had many passions and loves. Growing up, it was horses, cheerleading, and chocolate. Horses: Holly participated in many horse shows with her horse, Barb (who once went inside the church during a service and Holly had to walk her home!). Cheerleading: Holly drove her family crazy by constantly practicing her jumps in front of the living room mirror! Chocolate: Her love of chocolate started as a child and never wavered. From Halloween candy spreadsheets to hiding sweets as an adult, she always had a sugar stash! Her passions as an adult were creating art, hanging out with close friends and family, and loving her dogs Bruiser Bear and Tashki. She loved her dogs like they were her own children and we know she is currently covered in dog slobber from all of the kisses she has received from them since being reunited, likely sitting on a half eaten couch! Holly was an introvert, so if she spent time with you, she loved you - feel special! Holly had adventures aplenty with her friends and family. She loved traveling, camping, concerts, casinos, and schooling everyone she met at the pool table. She loved “Holly fashion” - spending hours on hair and makeup, wearing skirts that made old ladies blush, and always showcasing her handmade jewelry. She was stunningly beautiful with legs for days! Holly’s artistic ability had no boundaries. She created so many beautiful pieces, from furniture and home decor to jewelry and marbled magnets. Her favorite pieces were from her “Danika Designs - stoned collection” which were frames and mirrors created with rocks. Holly’s favorite rocks are heart shaped rocks, so if you ever find one, just know that it is Holly saying Hello! In true Holly fashion, her wish was to not be the center of attention by having a service. We are honoring her wishes. Feel free to share any memories of Holly with us. Raise your glass - We want to celebrate her!
