Gerri

Gerri S. Hoelscher, of Whitehall, OH passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side on June 13, 2022. In the care of Fairhope Hospice at The Pickering House in Lancaster, OH after a brave and courage battle with cancer. She was born October 21, 1947 in Hyden, KY the daughter of the late Shelby Caldwell and Polly Jane (Pennington) Caldwell. She is also preceded in death by her Daughter, Teresa A. Hoelscher. Gerri was a dog groomer and owner of Gerri’s Pet Hair Designs in Reynoldsburg for over 35 years. She had a great love for all animals and dedicated her life to their care and wellness. She loved her clients and always considered them an extension of her family. Gerri was a bright light, a loving mother and caring friend. The world is a little darker without her in it. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Trish Hoelscher-Fields. Her siblings, Lorene Caldwell, Onia Jean Jones, Linda (Daniel) Hoskins, Bill (Lila) Caldwell and Wesley Mattingly. Her 4-legged children she loved so much, Pretty Girl and Penny. At her request, in her final wishes, there will be no Funeral Services. Gerri wished to be remembered as a hardworking, loving Mother, loyal friend and respected colleague. Caring cremation has taken place by Leaf Cremation of Ohio. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at Fairhope Hospice for the loving and compassionate care of our Mother.
