Gerald E Lee, age 96, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025. Born October 21, 1928, to Elias (Doc) and Evelyn Lee. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Annette (Tony), children Malinda Battaglia, and Patrick (Becky) Lee, brother Lynden D Lee, 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A veteran of the United States Army, he proudly served his country in the Korean conflict. Jerry was a long-time resident of Hilliard, Ohio and was a dedicated pharmacist and the owner of Hilliard Rexall Pharmacy, where he served the Hilliard community for many years.
Jerry was a community business leader and played a key role in establishing The Hilliard Chamber of Commerce in the early 1970s with many other Hilliard business owners. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his customers. The Hilliard Rexall Pharmacy was not just a store, but a gathering place for the community, with its beloved Soda Fountain at the rear of the store.
In his free time, Gerald enjoyed traveling to Europe, sailing the British Virgin Islands, and vacationing on Cape Cod with his family. In retirement, he could often be found on the tennis court in the Florida Keys, where he and his wife enjoyed 38 golden years together.
He is preceded in death by son David M (Cat) Lee and sister Janice Smith.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the Hilliard community. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and dedication to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Truly, one of the nicest guys ever! May he rest in peace.
