Gayland Jay Gullett, 67, went to be with the Lord at 1:03 am on January 26, 2022 at St Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born December 22, 1954 in Montpelier Vermont to the late Freelon and Louesa (Morgan) Gullett. Surviving are 2 sons Jeremy Gullett and Greg Gullett, 3 sisters Cheryl Sammet of Upper Sandusky, Freda Scott of Columbus, and Barbara ( Kenneth) Manns of Akron, brother-in-law Daniel Stuckey of Kenton, sister-in-law Joann Gullett of Roundhead and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his companion Barbara Hunt of Lima. He was preceded in death by his long time companion Alice White of Spencerville, his brother Larry Gullett, sisters Arnita Shepherd, Naomi Gullett, Elaine Stuckey and brother-in-laws Dale Sammet and Lowell Shepherd. Gayland was a member of the Spencerville Baptist Church. He was a Bengals fan and enjoyed watching football and westerns, especially the Lone Ranger. Gayland loved the Lord and spending time with friends and family. Arrangements are being entrusted to Leaf Cremation in Columbus. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the family will be accepted for burial expenses. Condolences and Memories may be shared by visiting Gayland's Tribute Wall.
