Francis J Jewell

Francis Junior Jewell (87) Red Haw, Ohio, passed away from heart issues on his way to the hospital Saturday, March 29,2025. He was born on February 14, 1938, to Luzetta Mae (Smith) and Adam Cyrus Jewell. He attended Greenwich schools. He loved racing stock cars in his younger years. He was a mechanic and truck driver for most of his life. He built many race cars for people who wanted to race. He was chief mechanic for his cars, Sprint Car 81, Stock Car 94, Late Model 84, Stock Car 292. You would catch him on the weekends at the Lakeville Track, Wayne County Track, Mansfield Track or Zanesville Track.

He is survived by his 5 daughters that he raised on his own, 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren:

Judy (Andrew) Patrick of Mansfield, children: Ashley (Ryan) Stanford: grandchild: Raiden; Amber (Erick) Slone: grandchildren: Ellie and Brantley 

Tracey Utt of Ashland, child: Brandon Utt

Sarah Jewell of Galion, children: Cody (Sara) Jenkins; grandchildren: Oakley, Colt, Marley Jenkins; James Jenkins, Calib (Natalie Ratliff) Jenkins

Frances (Toby Clantz) Jewell of Ashland, children: Tyler (Jessica) Jewell; grandchildren: Zoey, Axton, Sophia Jewell; Dakota (Briann) Smith; grandchildren: Dakota, Shane, Lillyana, Kolsen, Maislee Smith; Shylynn (Alexis)Smith; Ostin (Michaela) Clantz; Talor Clantz; grandchildren: Graysyn and Charlotte Clantz; Jake (Angel) Lindencamp; grandchildren: Boe, Faith, Aubrey and Emma Lindencamp

Bonus Daughter Monica (Rob) Boales of Lorain, children: 7 : grandchildren: 4

He was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children- Jessica Workman, 3 brothers- Bobby, Roland and Paul Jewell, 2 sisters- Florence G Winely and Retha J Clough, son-in-law Michael Utt, son-in-law Jamie Jenkins, granddaughter Kaitlynn Utt and many canine buddies.

There will be a get together later to remember all the memories everyone has of him.
