Francine Grimaldi Martin

Francine Grimaldi Martin, 80, died on November 5, 2021 at OhioHealth Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born on September 5, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Marion and Helen Lockhart Grimaldi. A Youngstown resident for most of her life, Fran attended Girard High School, retired from Packard Electric, and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Holmes; son Raymond Clark (Matt Polcyn); two grandchildren, Amber Berry (Cody Laughlin) and Paul (Ashlee) Berry; five great-grandchildren, Jaiden Edwards, Ashton Berry, Brooklynn Edwards, Colton Laughlin, and Landon Berry; a brother, Frank (Carylon) Grimaldi; brother-in-law, Robert “Eddie” Meckes, and numerous nieces and nephews, including her goddaughter, Nina Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Marie “Dolly” Meckes. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. The family wishes to thank Fran’s friends and family who reached out to support her during her surgery and treatment, as well as her caregivers at The James Cancer Hospital and Kobacker House.
