Frances Carroll Macklin

May 24, 1940 — April 4, 2022

OBITUARY OF Francescea Macklin Francescea Marlene Carroll Macklin, affectionally called “Frances” daughter of William and Eva Jones Carroll was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 24, 1940. Frances answered the Lord’s call to come home at 1:55 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2022, in the Ohio State University Hospital Hospice Unit. Frances was a member of the 1958 graduating class of Springfield South High School. After graduation, she married Frank Macklin, Jr. They were a military family and traveled extensively. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Darrell Macklin of Columbus, Ohio and Karl Macklin of Marietta, Georgia; five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Overton of Pahoa, Hawaii; two special nephews, James Carroll of Columbus, Ohio and LaMont Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grand nephews, Jacob and Jasper Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dustin Carroll of Coshocton, Ohio; and several nieces and other nephews; a host of in-laws and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Rachel Elizabeth Thompson and a stepsister, Willetta Cotton. She will be highly missed by her family, friends, and those who knew her. I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path GOD laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch, Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift your heart and share with me, GOD wanted me now, He set me free. Author Unknown
