Evan Richard Hill, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, passed on February 19, 2021. Evan was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by Frederick M. Hill, father, and Eleanor Jones Hill, mother. Survived by his sister, Leslie, and her husband Ray. Evan graduated from Whetstone High School in 1975 and Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics 2 years later. As you know, Evan was an avid modeler and won a national award. His models were museum quality and historically accurate. He cherished his Nissan 300ZX and all things Z. He loved his cats (who have been adopted by a caring neighbor). Evan lent a helping hand. Willing to help others and never met a stranger. He cared for people and, as many of you have reached out, has devoted friendships that reflect this. Remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling, and seemingly always closing conversations with “I have to go, on the way out …” I am in the midst of planning Evan’s Celebration of Life at the Park of Roses in the late spring or early summer (TBD). His Celebration of Life will also be hosted on Zoom. If you would like to be included in Evan’s Celebration of Life, please leave your contact information (name, phone, email, and address) in your comments. In remembrance of Evan, please consider a donation in Evan’s name to the Cat Welfare Association (www.catwelfareassoc.org, 614-268-6096). As Evan has left through this mortal door, these two quotes from A.A. Milne come to mind… “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” Forever grateful. Many blessings upon you and your family. In Evan’s memory…
