Eva Marie Gorsuch

Eva Marie Gorsuch, a beacon of thoughtfulness and care in her community, passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on July 25, 1973, in Newark, Ohio, where she would also peacefully draw her last breath, Eva’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and dedication.

As a lifelong resident of Newark, Eva's roots ran deep in the town she called home. Eva was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Mauller and father, Eugene May, both of whom instilled in her the values of compassion and service that she carried throughout her life. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her loving family: her sisters, Loura Nesser and Lisa Faunaugh; her fiancé, David Wiegand; and many other dear friends and family.

Eva was a proud graduate of the local high school, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed her passion for helping others. She translated this passion into a fulfilling career as a home health care aide, a role in which she demonstrated daily the depth of her caring nature. Her work not only provided support to those in need but also brought comfort and companionship to many.

Those who knew Eva will remember her for the thoughtful gestures she never hesitated to extend. Whether offering a listening ear or a helping hand, she embodied the very essence of selflessness. Her warm presence and the gentle kindness she shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Eva Marie Gorsuch's legacy of love and empathy will be cherished and upheld by her family, friends, and all the lives she touched. Her spirit, a guiding light of benevolence, will be deeply missed.
