Ethan Bennett Cook, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 3, 2023, following an ATV accident. Born on August 23, 1998, in London, Ohio, Ethan's 24 years were filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Ethan is survived by his loving family, including his parents, Jason and Brandy Cook, and his brother, Parker Cook. He was a devoted father to his three children, Hailey (5), Cayden (4), and Ella (18 months) Cook, who he shared with their mother, Erica Mays. Ethan also leaves behind his grandparents, Brian and Jaimi Spradlin of Derby, Ohio, and Keith and Pauline Cook of Lincoln, England, as well as his uncle Derek Spradlin of Derby, Ohio, and Aunt Betsy Woolever of Mt. Sterling, Ohio. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles from England, including Jackie (Richard) Smith, Ben (Kasia) Cook, Gemma (Nigel) Pearce, Jessy (Pete) Duff, Ken Thompson, and numerous cousins who will cherish his memory.
Ethan was a valued employee at AmeriCoat in Plain City, where he was not only dedicated to his job but also to his coworkers. They treated him like family, and he enjoyed the camaraderie and bonds formed with his crew. Ethan's strong work ethic and friendly nature were evident to all who knew him.
A true outdoorsman, Ethan loved anything related to fishing, hunting, or nature. His enthusiasm for the great outdoors was infectious, and he eagerly shared it with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed on the weekend fishing trips to Lake Erie with his best buddies and hunting with his many friends and family members. Ethan's adventurous spirit and zest for life were evident in all he did.
Ethan's personality was characterized by his funny, friendly, and adventurous nature. He had a knack for making people laugh and feel at ease in his presence. His love for life was evident in his countless stories of outdoor adventures, and his warm, welcoming spirit made him a cherished friend to many.
In the wake of his passing, Ethan's family and friends will remember him for his boundless love, his dedication to his children, and his passion for the outdoors. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him, as they recall the laughter, the adventure, and the love that he brought into their lives.
An open-door memorial for friends and family celebrating Ethan’s life will be held Saturday, July 15, from 1 p.m to 6 p.m. with a toast at 3 p.m with his favorite beverage at the Hilltop Sportsman Club 12145 Darby Creek Rd Orient, Ohio 43146.
