Ellen Rae Meyer

Ellen Rae (Neu) Meyer, 71, of Gahanna, OH, went to heaven on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Taylor Springs Nursing Home in Columbus, OH. Ellen was born in Redfield, SD, June 24, 1950, the daughter to the late Carl Neu and Thelma (Peterman) Neu. She was preceeded in death by her son Brandon Meyer, brother Gerry Neu and Parents Carl and Thelma Neu. Ellen is survived by her sons, Jason (April) Meyer of Dillonvale, OH and Marcus Meyer of Columbus, OH; brothers: Dale Neu of Rockham, SD and Kenny (Melinda) Neu of Redfield, SD. She had two grandchildren, who were the loves her life, Noah Meyer and Annie Meyer and honorary grandson Jack Newell. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored. Ellen worked in the medical billing field for many years. She truly enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with family. Ellen was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westerville, OH. Ellen attended the Hand City School and graduated from Redfield High school. She then went on to receive her Cosmetology degree. A service will be held in her honor in the summer of 2022 in Redfield, SD.
