Elizabeth Nicole McRoberts Brice, age 28, of Columbus, OH earned her wings on September 24, 2022 due to
senseless Gun Violence. She was the daughter of Robert Michael Murray Sr. and Heather Marie (McRoberts) Stottlemire. Born
April 9, 1994, in Ashtabula OH. She later moved to Columbus, OH where she graduated from Marion Franklin High School.
Elizabeth loved to read, do nails, and most of all spending time with her 3 children and family. She was a proud sister to her baby brother, KyCash as she called him. She was able to create memories with him over the past 4 months before she passed. Elizabeth by no means lived the simple life, she was shot in 2015 in which she became addicted to the pain medicine and soon after her life had spiraled downward. There were many years lost with family and friends. On March 26, 2022, that came to an end.
Once again, she had found herself in a situation where she had been shot, this time left for dead. As she laid there coughing up blood, she had to make the choice, do I live, or do I die? She chose to fight for her life. Her family that had once been distance was now her number one supporter and was there by her side every day, encouraging her to stay positive and to keep fighting. Every day was a challenge. Her life had changed tremendously as she was now paralyzed and facing the reality that her life will never be as it was. She had many days where she wanted to give up, but she never did. Every day she fought and pushed to keep moving forward.
Elizabeth found a relationship with God and was closer to her family than ever before. Through every obstacle she was faced with; she could still smile because she knew how much she was loved. Not only did she have a great relationship with her family, but she had made some pretty good friends at the nursing home where she was living at to rehabilitate. She had a huge heart
and was always doing for others. Whether it was painting their nails, giving them food from all the food that her mom would buy her, or helping with ideas on activities. She even entertained the elders when they were feeding the ants or talking about pet rocks. She truly had a beautiful soul and will be missed by many residents at the nursing home she resided in and took her last breath.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Murray Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Roger and
Patricia Ritchie; her paternal great grandmother, Rachel Boardman; great grandfather, Cl McRoberts; great grandparents, Larry and Donna Soyster; as well as her baby cousin, Izabella McRoberts.
She is survived by her children, Lauciaunna, & Deiondre Morris, and Javiaunna Brice. Her children meant the world to her. She was so proud to be their mom and was constantly bragging to the residents about them; her siblings, Ashley Schreiber, Robert Murray Jr, Kim Ingramm (Brian) Hazel and Payton Murray, Kyrie Bowers; grandparent, Debra Carcell (Doug) & Charles McRoberts; uncles, Richard Kirby, (Star), Charles McRoberts Jr and Jerry McRoberts; her mother and best friend, Heather Stottlemire, and as she called them, “The Kirby’s” cousins, Lexi, Candace, Shelby, Blade, Gabby, and Stormi; as well as cousins, Maddie, Zane, Jaded and Jasmine McRoberts; and nephew, Brycen.
At this time, I would like to send a special Thank you to Deion (Renae) Morris and Candace (Andrew) Wanstreet for their continued love and support raising the children of Elizabeth.
A Memorial will be planned at a later time.
