Elizabeth Choban, 91, previously of McDonald OH passed away peacefully Friday June 5,2020 in her apartment at Danbury Senior Living, Columbus OH. She was born May 5, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Illeys) Ferenczy. She was a National Honor Society graduate of Girard High School. She worked at Mahoning Bank until her marriage to Steve Choban, May 7,1955. She then transitioned to being a fulltime wife and mom. Her creativity was expressed in excellent knitting and crochet but she was always eager to tryout other crafts. She had an amazing green thumb and could get any plant to thrive. Wonderful memories of Betty live on with her husband of 65 years, Steve Choban; her two sons Dr. Stephen Choban (Pat) of Powell, OH and Dr. Michael Choban (Nancy), of Westlake, OH. She loved to be with her six grand children Dr. Lisa Choban, Lauren Choban, Leah Choban, Lydia Choban, Capt. Joseph Choban (Tessa) and Christopher Choban. She was tickled to meet her three great granddaughters Lyanna, Rhaena and Alice Choban. Preceding her in death are her parents, two sisters, Bertha and Irene Ferenczy and four brothers, William, Steve, Eugene and Joseph Ferenczy Cremation is taking place at her request. Private services will be held at a later date.
