Douglas Lee Waters was born in Jackson, Michigan on September 16th, 1956. He was a long time resident in Missouri and worked as a parts inspector for Emerson Electric and Boeing in St. Louis, MO. He passed away in his sleep on August 8, 2022 in Lancaster, OH following a two-year battle with Ocular Melanoma which spread to his liver. He is survived by his wife Judith Waters (whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage with on August 5th, 2022) and his 4 step-children whom he helped to raise as his own: Alicia Conroy, Tim Conroy (wife Chrissi Conroy), Chris Conroy (wife Cherrill Conroy) and Sheila Johnson (husband William Johnson) and 10 grandchildren: Melody, Lexus, Joshua, Lance, Summer, Codie, Aurelia, Jocilyn, Dakota and Xander. Doug was a mechanic and drove for the colonel in the Marines. He served at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina for two years. Following his time in the service and upon marrying Judy, Doug enjoyed camping, hiking, swimming, thoroughbred horse races and rehabbing multiple houses. He was a superb athlete and especially enjoyed basketball and baseball. He and Judy spent 3 years exploring the Eastern half of America Rving in their early 50’s. He had a great sense of humor and could always find the positives in life. He never knew a stranger and fought like a warrior to the very end. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
