Diane Browne Hawthorne age 52 went to be with her Lord on 3/28/2023, 9:00 pm at Mercy Health St Rita's Hospital, Lima, OH. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. Diane was receiving treatments for Stage 4 brain, liver, and lung cancer for 7 months and recently caught pneumonia and an infection that spread throughout her body that she sir came to. She loved making people smile and laugh right up to the very end of her life.
Diane graduated from Shawnee High School and Apollo Career Center in 1998. She married John Hawthorne in 1995 in Lima and gave birth to 2 children. She worked at Nichols Bakery for 12 years, Wolohan Lumber, Lima Convalescent Home, and was most recently employed at Kosei St Mary's Corp (AAP) for over 20 years. Diane was a very loving person and always full of life. She was very strong and a super hard worker. She was a delight at every family gathering, because she was so silly and ornery and always the shining light for all of us to enjoy. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, loved riding horses, taking her grandson's to the zoo, hanging out with her sister Kathy, camping, hiking, doing crafts, gardening, swimming, playing practical jokes, games and really loved doing things outdoors. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and dearly loved her dog Charlie. She got to enjoy a short time with her new granddaughter who is 7 months old.
Diane preceded her death by her grandparents Charles and Lillian Brenneman Blue, her father George K Browne, brother Arthur L Truex and Uncle James (Jim)Blue. She was the youngest of 6 kids. She was survived by her loving husband, John Hawthorne, beloved children Josh (Katie) Hawthorne of Lima, and Destiny (Zach) Hawthorne Lewis, her loving and devoted mother, Betty Blue Cook, adoring Stepfather Donald Cook, 4 siblings: her brother Christoper (Duane) Browne, and sisters Katherine (Tom) Browne Dickson, Melody (Phil) Truex Stumpf, and Rhonda Truex Steel, stepbrother Steve (Deb) Cook, and stepsister Cathy (John) Cook Rogers, 3 grandchildren: Robert (Robbie) Hawthorne, Kamden Hawthorne, and Eloise Lewis, and many nieces and nephews who adored her, Aunt Rosemary (Bill) Wright, and 2 uncles: Robert and Tom Blue.
Diane will be missed tremendously by everyone that loved her. A celebration of life will be held for just the family.
