Dennis James Pence

July 19, 1961 — November 6, 2019

Dennis James Pence of Cambridge, Ohio went to Heaven to be with God on November 6th, 2019. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and was the son of the late James Lee and Betty Louise (Doss) Pence. Dennis was a highly intelligent person who was very proud of the fact that he read the Bible from front to back in English and in Spanish, which he fluently spoke as well. He also enjoyed collecting comic books, playing pool, listening to music, and anything that was 1970’s related. His favorite TV Show was “That 70’s Show”. You could tell by his reminiscing that it was his favorite timeframe of his life! Dennis left behind 3 children; Christian, Christopher, and Bradley as well as 4 grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, and 8 brothers and sisters: Alan Pence (Cressie), Brenda Pence, Mitchell Pence (Diana), Jimmy Pence (Laura), Evelyn Mitchell (Dennis Mitchell), Deanna Greene (Bob App), Raymond Pence, and Amy Tanner. He also left behind a dog, Maddie, and a group of chickens that will miss their daily snacks from him. Even through his own pain and trying to come to terms with leaving this world, one of his final requests was that we took care of the dog and chickens. They will remain taken care of Bob App. We’d like to extend a special note of appreciation and thanks to Bob for all he has done for and with Dennis over the last few years. We’d like to thank Shirley Rowe for all the time she spent with Dennis. Your companionship meant a lot to him and to us! We would also like to send out a special thank you to the entire ICU staff at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, who was beyond amazing at taking care of our brother and us in our time of grief. We could not have asked for a better staff of Nurses and Doctors during this difficult time. Please contact the family for details about the interim service.
