Debra Kay Gabriel

February 5, 1957 — March 30, 2022

Debra Kay Gabriel, 65, Columbus, Ohio devasted hearts when she suddenly passed away on March 30, 2022. Born on February 5, 1957, in Nelson County, Virginia, she was the daughter of late Stanley Tinnel and Sally Kathleen McNabb Tinnel. Debra lost her dad very early in age, and wonderful man named Herbert Taylor married Kathleen, and stepped in as an amazing step father to mom and her sisters. She had four sisters, (late)Diane (Willard) Proffitt, Ruthie McDonald, Becky (James) Horsman, and Theresa (David) Mays, all of Roseland, Virginia. Debra met the love of her life, Samuel, and was married and had their first son, Scotty in 1978. Scotty died a week later after being born so Debra and Sam decided to get a fresh start and moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1979 and started a new beginning. She loved spending time with family and decorating. Debra was known for changing and redecorating her living room every month. She was always trying to keep her house clean, and new. Samuel died of cancer in December 2017 and Debra's heart never recovered. She filled her days with spending time with her children and grandchildren but her health started declining. She is survived by two children, Michael and his wife Jamie Gabriel of Columbus, Ohio and Angel Gabriel and her fiancé George Butler of Baltimore, Ohio. Debra had four grandchildren, Corey, Javin, Brianna, and Leo Gabriel. She would spoil her grandbabies every chance and every second that she could. These grandchildren meant everything to her and she was so proud of them all. Debra wished that she be placed with Sam and Scotty. This will be held at a later date private for family only.
