Dea Henrich, 58, of Riverside, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2020. Dea was born April 2, 1962, in Mt Clemens, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia Henrich. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Chuck (Mary) Henrich, Rick (Martha) Henrich, and Bruce Henrich. Dea was a graduate of Wright State University with degrees in English and Theater. These degrees where part of her life long love of learning. Dea never met a book that she didn’t like and was even known to say that she would read a shampoo bottle in a pinch. Dea had a vibrant personality that lit up any room she entered. She possessed a boundlessly curious and creative spirit, she loved to try new crafts and hobbies just so she could teach herself a new skill and keep her brain active. She loved art and music and had the uncanny ability to find beauty in the everyday mundane facets of life. Dea was also a talented wordsmith who used her abilities to champion those who did not have the ability to speak for themselves. Her empathy and ability to see an issue from multiple perspectives impacted the lives for the better of all who know Dea will be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and coworker by all those who knew her. Dea is survived by her sisters Hildie (Melvin) Tingley, Jackie (Tim) Brown, and Loretta (Creigg) Tromley. Also carrying on Dea’s memory are her long time best friend Dean Leonard, her cats Max & Lola, as well as all her cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with information forthcoming as social distancing restrictions as eased in the country. In lieu of flowers please take time to visit a local library or bookstore and read to a child in your life.
