Cliff Reed Haight

May 18, 1947 — January 23, 2022

Dr. Cliff R. Haight, Retired Chiropractor of 45 years Age 74, of Wintersville, OH passed away on January 23, 2022. Born on May 18th, 1947, in Evergreen Park, IL, the eldest son of the late Clifford Roy and Lettia Elizabeth Haight, Dr. Cliff R. Haight died on January 23rd, 2022, in Weirton Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Eric David Haight, a brother Terry Haight, a sister Cher Hyatt, two stepsons Bill and Mike Kraemer, a step granddaughter Terra MacDonald, and a step grandson Adam Kennedy. He was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson Union (now Edison Local) High School where he played 4 years of varsity football and was a member of the choir. In 1970 he achieved his Doctorate Degree at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Cliff’s most notable activities include being an active member of the Steubenville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He had a great interest in and empathy for people. Putting this into action, he spent more than fifty years volunteering as an educator in the congregation and in the public ministry. His mission was to share information with anyone who expressed an interest in gaining accurate Bible knowledge. For several years he spent at least 100 hours per month in this endeavor. His free time was often spent attending local auctions, developing a sizeable collection of vinyl records. He often expressed pride in the opportunity to work side by side with his wife Vi for 35 years in his offices in Toronto and Calcutta. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and great-great- grandfather as well as a favorite uncle of many of his numerous nieces and nephews. All who knew and loved him will find the world a less joyful place without him in it. He will be greatly missed by his surviving wife and best friend of 41 years, Viola M. (Vi) Haight. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald Haight (Kathy) of Pennsylvania and Jon Haight (Lawana) of South Carolina, two sisters Rebecca Palmer (Darl) of Ohio, and Lydia Schroeder of New Mexico, his daughters Anne Marie Haight of England, and Rachel Scott of Florida, stepson Ian Haight of England, and a stepdaughter Jackie Polashuk of Maryland; as well as Grandchildren Eric Michael (Desirae), Derek (Amanda), Tyler and Chase; Leigh Anne and Paul; Charlotte, Bethany and Georgia; Malinna (Andy); and Shiloh, in addition to 20 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. To give a little insight into his personality, everyone soon learned that to avoid making a negative comment, Cliff would sometimes say: “That’s definitely different” when what he meant was “I don’t care for that.” A virtual memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 12, at 11:00 A.M. EST Rudy Puskarich of Cadiz, Ohio will officiate. For information on how to access the service online please contact jwsteubenville@gmail.com or call 740-278-3004.
