Charles L. Schroeder

Charles Leo Schroeder, age 70, passed away at his residence on January 13, 2021. He is preceded in death by his dearly loved wife, Jo Lynn Hollard; parents, Leo and Norma Schroeder; sister, Marilyn Schroeder; sister-in-law, Treva Schroeder; and brother-in-law, Howard T. Diltz, III. Charles graduated from Chaminade High School in 1968, and received a Bachelor's Degree from Wright State University. He worked for Leo B. Schroeder for 20 years, and then worked at Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center until his retirement. Charles volunteered at the House of Bread, a call center for suicide prevention, and tutored children at local schools and churches. He is survived by several siblings, Kenneth Schroeder, Faye Diltz, Alice (Paul) Hogg, Lenore (Rocky) Branson, Jody Schroeder, Steve (Cindy) Schroeder, and Doris (Ted) White; several nieces and nephews. His card playing at family gatherings will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the House of Bread in Dayton, Ohio in his name. Services will be held privately by family. May he rest in peace.
