Cassandra Lynn Smith April 21, 1983 - January 24, 2022 Cassandra L. Smith, 38, of Howard, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 24, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Cassandra was born April 21, 1983 in Franklin County to Robert and Norma Huber. She was a 2001 graduate of Northridge High School. She had a deep passion for working with children. She worked several years as a child care provider for Licking, Franklin, and Knox Counties until deciding to stay home and care for her family. She loved animals, taking walks, nature, photography, and making people laugh. She is survived by her husband, Peter J. Smith; daughter, Angel R. Smith; son, Lincoln O. Smith; and her beloved Missy Dog of Howard, Ohio; parents, Robert and Norma Huber of Alexandria, Ohio; sister; Christina M. Whiteley (Chris) of Fredericktown, Ohio; nieces, Aubree K. Whiteley and Makayla M. Huber of Tennessee; grandmother, Opal Huber of Alexandria, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Gavin Joseph Smith; grandparents, Troy L. Grim Sr. and Edna F. Grim of Sitka, KY; and Robert O. Huber Sr. of Alexandria, OH. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 2 pm - 5 pm at Faith Outpost Church, 13117 Cooksey Rd. Utica, Ohio 43080. No formal service will be held.
