Carolyn Sue Grady

September 8, 1961 — May 19, 2022

Carolyn Grady, age 60, passed away in the evening hours of May 19, 2022. She was born September 8, 1961 in Newark Ohio, where she stayed and chose to live out her life. She was born to the late Charles and Blanche Huff as the youngest daughter. She shared her dad's love of all animals, but always had an exceptionally strong bond with her dogs. Carolyn went on in life to earn her Associate degree in nursing from COTC. She continued her career as an RN, mainly staying in nursing homes, for several years. She thoroughly enjoyed using her knowledge and kindness to help so many others. She once shared that her inspiration for joining the medical field was the helplessness that she felt during the time of her dad's passing. She was determined that she could make a difference moving forward. She also shared her passions in her other life journey, motherhood. She had three children in which she took great pride. Her values of kindness, acceptance, honesty, and stubbornness were just a few of the things that she passed on. That pride extended wholeheartedly to her five grandchildren. She took on the role of grandma with open arms. Carolyn was survived by her sister Eileen (Denny) Quinlan; three children, J.C. Grady, Kellie (Josh) Brokaw, and Dakota Grady; five grandchildren, Kaydence Brokaw (13), Braelyn Brokaw (12), Dominic Miracle (11), Asa Brokaw (10), and Riley Miracle (9); niece Britt Payne; nephew Shane (Renae) Quinlan; six great-nieces and nephews, Josh (Lindsay) Quinlan, Justine Renicker, Dustin Givens, Logan Givens, Alyson Quinlan, and Alex Quinlan.
