Carolyn Frances Chandler

October 7, 1941 — April 9, 2024

In the fair land of Columbus, under an October's sky, the world was graced with the presence of Carolyn Frances Chandler, known affectionately to all as Lady CC, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and forty-one. On the ninth of April, two thousand and twenty-four, she departed this mortal coil in the same state of Ohio, where she drew her first breath, succumbing peacefully to the natural order of life's grand tapestry.

The lineage of Lady CC was noble and kind, born unto Frank and Josephine Walker, she was a sister among eight predeceased, a matriarchal figure to kin, and a friend to the world. Her life's journey was shared with her late beloved husband, Vincent Chandler, and their love did blossom into a family tree of bountiful branches. She now joins her husband and granddaughter Brittany Vinae Chandler in the realm beyond, leaving behind a legacy of love in her daughters Tanya Morse, with her spouse Martee, and Ellen Walker, Deborah Evans, She also found sisterhood in Martha Smith. Her light is carried on through her siblings Patty Wells, with her Thoughtful Husband Bill Wells, and Jackie Dennis.

A grandmother of ten, Lady CC's joy was multiplied in Tylan Sims, Raymond Evans, Tanya Pollard, Ashley Evans, Darlene Evans, Wesley Walker, Alex Walker, Raymond Walker, Martee Morse Jr., and Malik Morse. Her spirit lives on in a lineage of great-grandchildren and those of the generation yet more removed, with special cherubs Athena Rose and Joseph Kennedy, Richard Reynolds, Darrin Higgins, with his life's companion Marty, Jack Higgins, and Lisa Higgins Canfield and Dan Canfield.

Lady CC, a noble graduate of Central High School, served with distinction at the City Prosecutor's Office and later ascended to the role of Supervisor with the Franklin County Board of MRDD. Her career was a testament to her commitment to service and her unwavering dedication to her community.

But oh, how she relished life's pleasures! The thrill of the casinos, the joy of song at karaoke, and the warmth of hosting holiday parties. Her love of decoration transformed the mundane into the magnificent, creating spaces that welcomed all with open arms and a festive spirit.

In her essence, Lady CC was the embodiment of love, selflessness, and generosity. Her heart, a boundless fountain of kindness, poured forth love and care to all who had the pleasure of her company. In her, we saw the truth of Shakespeare's words: "They do not love that do not show their love." Lady CC showed her love in every action, every smile, every kind word.

As the poet John Donne once penned, "No man is an island, entire of itself." Lady CC was a beacon of connection, a bridge between souls, a reminder that we are all part of something greater. She did not merely exist; she thrived in the interwoven tapestry of relationships that defined her life. We, who are left to cherish her memory, shall carry forth her torch of love, her legacy of joy, and her spirit of giving. The world is dimmer without her light, but the heavens are surely brighter for her presence.

Farewell, Lady CC, noble daughter, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured sister. You have danced through life's masquerade with grace and left us with memories that will be forever enshrined in our hearts. Rest now in the eternal embrace of the ages, until we meet again in the grand reunion that awaits us all.
