Bette McNeal

Bette NcNeal passed away Thursday, April 10th at home surrounded by loved ones.

Bette was born November 7, 1922 to Spencer and Fern (Keiffer) Cole. She lived her entire life in Groveport, Ohio. Growing up, she loved riding and caring for her horses. She grew up farming and graduated from Groveport Madison School. She later worked at Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio as an Administrative Assistant until she retired. She enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, and loved the outdoors. She could often be seen walking her dog or riding her tracker around her property well into her 90’s. Bette also loved telling stories about her fascinating life. 

Bette is survived by her children Caroline (James) O’Conner, Palatka, Florida, Samuel (Jeannine) Balsimo, Canal Winchester, Ohio, Ann Marie Carter, Lancaster, Ohio, Christopher (Karen) Balsimo, Groveport, Ohio, Stepson David McNeal, Del Ray, Florida, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Along with her parents, Bette is preceded in death by husbands Frank Balsimo, Laird McNeal and her dear friend Richard Diamond. Bette is also preceded in death by her sons Spencer (Sherry) Balsimo, Frank (Terry) Balsimo, stepson Charles McNeal, siblings Maxine Drury, Doris Balsimo, Marguerite Winchester, Phillip Cole, grand children Sheila Hale and Mark Balsimo.
