Archie Paul Crabtree went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2020. His last hours were spent peacefully with family and a caring friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) F. Crabtree and Alma (Jean) J. Crabtree of Marion, OH and his sister Patricia A. Harrah of South Point, OH. Archie spent many years working for Sears and although he dabbled in other areas of employment, he always said that Sears was his home. Archie was a wonderful, talented, musician and loved playing guitar. He spent many years of his life playing in bands, DWI, Dr. J and the Classics, as well as many others. He loved to be around other musicians. It didn’t matter if it was a local tavern, a family member’s home or his own home, if music was brought up, the jamming session began and lasted for hours. Archie was a big time practical joker and had a unique sense of humor. If Archie offered you to try something edible, you always took the risk of it being very hot, tasting disgusting, or it might taste good. If you were getting ready to sit down, you better make sure he wasn’t standing behind you or you may fall flat on your behind. He loved to get a reaction out of people in order to laugh. Being the person being laughed at wasn’t always fun, however, it was his way of showing love. Archie was a man of many talents and unique gifts. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and friends. He is survived by his son Aaron (Jill) P. Crabtree, of San Antonio, TX; 2 step-grandchildren of San Antonio, TX; a brother Richard (Shirley) Crabtree of Marion, OH; a sister Anita Bivens Greer of Morehead, KY; a sister Marchita J. Bushong (Pepper) of Marion, OH; a brother Ray Crabtree of Marion, OH; a brother Robert (Jackie) F. Crabtree of Marion, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COIVD and the regulations regarding COVID, the family has not set any services at this time and his services will be arranged at a later date.
