Andrew Gary Paul Montreuil Sr.

Andrew Gary Paul Montreuil, Sr., 48, of Alexandria, LA passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2024. Born on January 28, 1976 in Hampton, VA to Penni Blow and Marcel Montreuil, Andrew was quick to claim New Orleans, the city of his ancestors, as his true home. Andrew was predeceased by his young son Devyn, his stepbrother Sean, his stepfather Fred Prendergast, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. The loss of his son was one he carried with him until his own passing. From the day she brought him home from the hospital at Langley Air Force Base, Andrew’s mother has referred to him as “Sunshine.” It is only fitting that the final years of his life were spent working with complete joy at AWAKE, a solar energy company. Andrew was a born salesman. Growing up in Swansea, MA those who knew him always said he’d be a great lawyer…or car salesman. Fulfilling that prophecy, Andrew went on to spend many years in the car sales industry. He ended his career in sales surrounded by coworkers who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Andrew.” Andrew’s determination got him many places in his life. Regardless of his struggles, and there were many, he always found his way back. He ultimately realized that God loves him very much and he expressed his gratitude frequently. He knew he had been blessed and was thanking God until the end. Andrew is survived by his mother, father, stepfather Jessie Blow, stepmother Kathryn Montreuil, sister Tinsley Kampmier- Williamson (Dominic Williamson) and brother Marc Montreuil (Nicole). He leaves behind a son, Andrew Gary Paul Montreuil, Jr., daughter, Lilyann “Ann” Coreen Montreuil, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In his wake, he also leaves kindred spirit, Nicole Dubois.
