Andrea Kay Hartman

Andrea Kay (Kovach) Hartman, 68, of Mansfield, was surrounded by her loved ones when she went to heaven on Friday, April 14th, 2023 after an extended illness.

She was born on May 15th, 1954 in Mansfield to the late Andrew George Kovach and Opal Elizabeth (Cline) Kovach, where she has been a lifelong resident. She was also preceded in death by brother’s Andrew Jr. & Dana Kovach, sister’s Karen Maxwell, Judy Fredricks, and Mary Elizabeth Baum, father in law Gerald Hartman, mother in law Betty Hartman, brother in law Ronald Hartman, brother and sister in law Wilford Jr. and Linda Morrison, and Nephew Johnny Crawford.

Her accomplishments include; graduating class of 1972 from Madison High School, Associates degree in Electronic Engineering at NCSC, Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology at Franklin University, Master of Business Administration at Ashland University. She was a Scheduler at OhioHealth Mansfield. She also was employed at Emerson Therm-O-Disc as a Sales Engineer, Food Town (T&A) for many years, and a professor for a term at North Central State College.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was always there when we needed her. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community. She would go on any adventure her family comes up with. She enjoyed her time at the Black Jack tables and her many trips with family and friends to Vegas where she left our inheritance (with no regrets). She loved to dance especially two-step with her main squeeze. Andrea married the love of her life Jerry October 16th, 1971. They spent lots of time sitting on the porch at their farm enjoying the view and having parties with family and friends over the years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband life Jerry Hartman, daughters Kristina Hartman, Tracy (Aaron) Sturgill, grandchildren; Brittany, Dakota, Andrew, Jerryd, Chase, and great grandchild Zane all of Mansfield; Sisters Carol Huvler of Galion, Patti Jo Wallace of Mansfield, and Laray Kovach of Shelby; Sister in laws Ellen (John) Crawford of Johnsville, Sue Swisher of Bear Creek, NC, several nieces and nephews Kim, Shelley, Lynnette, MeLisa, David ,Michelle, Terry, Becky, Eric, Lana, Karen, Jodie, Katie, Teresa, Holli, Jill, Niki, Kelly, and Brandon.

The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Sunday, April 30th, 2023 from 1-4 pm at the Richland Rural Life Center at 969 Crall Road, Mansfield.
