November 25, 1932 - June 16, 2022 Gesualdo (Aldo) Carmelo Mirazita went to heaven on June 16th 2022. He passed away peacefully at home, in Canton, Ohio. He was 89 years old. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the son of the late Francesco Mirazita and Catherine Russo Mirazita. He was also preceded in death by his brother Michael Mirazita. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who loved his country and staunchly supported Veterans’ causes. He enjoyed his family immensely including his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as their spouses and partners. He will be missed beyond words by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He was considered by his family to be the steadfast bedrock of the Mirazita household. The world will be a little bit dimmer without his bright light. Aldo is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian Milcenni Mirazita. He is also survived by sons Frank Mirazita and James Mirazita, daughter Linda Mirazita Maksim, grandchildren Michele Mirazita Ciudad, Christopher Mirazita, Julie Mirazita, Melissa Maksim Bassig, and Anthony Maksim, and great-grandchildren Nicholas Ciudad, Anthony (Tony) Ciudad, and Cameron Mirazita. Aldo is also survived by his sister Nancy Mirazita Holsten. Aldo was a devoted dog parent to Bruno, his Yorkshire Terrier. No formal services are scheduled in lieu of a private family military veteran presentation of the flag.
