Peggy Jean Mitchell

Peggy Jean Mitchell, 84. Of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at home. She was born on June 28, 1936 in La Follette, TN. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Verna Young and sister to Arnold young Jr (deceased) and his wife Flora Young (deceased). Peggy was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond Mitchell Sr. Peggy graduated from Knoxville College and OSU with a Master’s Degree in Education. Peggy was a member of the ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA Sorority for over 50 years. Peggy married the love of her life, Raymond W. Mitchell Sr (deceased) on December 24,1962 in Columbus, Ohio. Peggy delivered one bouncy baby boy, Raymond W. Mitchell II. Peggy leaves this earth her cherished only son, Raymond W. Mitchell II and his wife, Tashana Mitchell, her granddaughters: Da’Juan’Na McGee, Da-Nisha (Cameron) Mitchell-Ward, Rayana Mitchell, and Rayven Mitchell. One great-granddaughter, Sascha Ward, nieces Dena (Mike) Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio and Wendy Whaley of Jacksonville, Florida. She also leaves behind two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
