Janet Ruth Coriell

Janet Ruth Coriell, 83, passed away September 25, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born March 31, 1937, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Eli and Ruth (Bishop) Coriell. She graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1955, then spent most of her adult life in Columbus, Ohio, working as a paralegal. She also earned an associate degree from Ohio University in 1994. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold E. Coriell, half-brothers Eugene and William Coriell, half-sisters Martha Davis and Helen Goings, some nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat Blackie. She is survived by her sister Joyce M. Shirley of Evansville, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. She will be buried at Bennett Cemetery in Minford, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.
