David Jay King

David Jay King, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on December 22, 2023, at his home in Chandlersville, Ohio. Born on February 11, 1961, in Portsmouth, Ohio. David’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family, a passion for the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Angela King. Together they raised three wonderful daughters. Michelle (Greg) Cox, Melissa (Clayton) Helton & Amanda (Scotty) King.

David cherished his five grandkids, Aaliyha, Bubby, Shiann, Madison & Parker, who brought him immeasurable happiness. He leaves behind his father Ernest "Jr" King & three sisters Terrie Lake, Tammy (Rick) Wills, and Cindy (Rod) Smitley, whose bonds were unbreakable, and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart and lots of close friends.

He was preceded in death by him mother, Camilla King.

An avid outdoorsman, David was a skilled fisherman and an enthusiastic deer and coon hunter. He loved mushroom hunting also.

As we say goodbye to David, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a soul that has undoubtedly left a mark on the hearts of many.
